david alexander
David and Amy Alexander have been married for 24 years and came to River Rock Church (formerly Spotswood at Ladysmith) in the Spring of 2017, with their two kids Morgan and Addison. David serves on the production team, alongside with his wife, Amy, and daughter, Morgan. Amy also serves on the hospitably team and helps where she is needed. David and his family are humbled and grateful to have the opportunity to serve the Lord and the congregation weekly.
John Boquist
John and Yvonne have been married since 1983 and have two married daughters; Patricia (Caleb) and Elizabeth (Joey). After 18 years of music ministry in the Hampton Roads area, the Boquists moved to Caroline County in 2004 where John served as a pastor for 14 years. Yvonne is a nurse at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. Having been parents for over 30 years, the Boquists are hoping to hear soon one or both daughters tell them they’re being promoted to grandparents.

Billy Rackley
Billy and Lisa have been serving in Youth Ministry as leaders since at least 2000. Both Billy & Lisa were saved at an early age. God brought them together in Sumter S.C.where they started their lifelong journey. Moving back to Va., They Served in Billy's childhood church and then moving to another church plant to help get its roots embedded in the community. They have been married for 26 years and having 3 children, ( Chelsea, Corban, & Camden.) Billy's heart is to serve wherever Jesus leads him & Lisa has a passion for the People of West Africa having gone on several mission trips there. Billy currently serves Our Country in the D.C. Air Guard as an Active Duty Member. Lisa is a Stay at Home Mom, homeschooling and tending to the Home while Billy is away. They are excited to be a part of the Church plant in Caroline, so much so they moved to the Town of Bowling Green to be within the community for which they're serving.
bill schoen
Bill came to a saving belief in Christ as a teenager. He and Cathy have been active in many churches as they frequently moved during Bill's 20 year service with the Navy and now during the past 15 years of civilian Navy work. They enjoyed serving in each church as God led, primarily in Children's ministry and Music ministry. Bill and Cathy have been married since 1983 and have three wonderful children: Will, Matt and his wonderful wife Lanae, and Karen. They are also blessed to be called grandparents. Bill currently serves on the worship production team and Cathy is serving in the children's ministry.
Philip Scott
Philip was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ at an early age. He met his wife, Heather, in the fifth grade and they married while in college. Both work in education; Heather as a teacher at a local Christian school and Philip with an association of Christian schools. They have three children: Gabrielle, Benjamin and Nathan. Through the years, Philip and Heather have served in various churches across Virginia and Colorado mostly through small groups and children’s ministries. Currently Philip serves as a member of the setup and tear down team as well as facilitating a Community Group at River Rock.
Brad Stillabower
Brad was saved by grace in his late 20's shortly after being married to his beautiful wife Sheila over 25 years ago. They have two wonderful children, Adam and Sarah, who are currently away at college. His family has been abundantly blessed by the Lord's faithfulness to his Word in Jer 29:11 that He "knows the plans He has for us, to give us hope, and a future." Brad and Sheila are excited to be a part of the plan He has for the future of River Rock Church.
They have been involved in various ministries over the years with a focus on children and sports ministry. Brad is currently assisting us with coordination of our Men's ministry at River Rock Church Caroline.
Josh VanMatre
Joshua was raised in a Christian household and accepted God into his life as a teenager. Joshua has faithfully served at Spotswood at Ladysmith / River Rock since November 2018. He currently oversees Church Operations (Set-up, Tear Down, and Signs & Security). In addition to his service at River Rock, Joshua has honorably served the Marine Corps (active duty enlisted / contractor / civil servant) for the past 20 years. Joshua is happily married to his high school sweetheart Brandi. Both Brandi and Joshua are blessed with two wonderful children, Gabriel and Madison.
Jason Weakley
Jason has been serving at River Rock Church (formerly Spotswood at Ladysmith) in various roles including co-leader of the Middle and High School Guys Community Group, and as a member of the setup and tear down team. Prior to joining Spotswood at Ladysmith in 2017, Jason and his family were members of Fairmount Christian Church in Mechanicsville, VA where he and his wife, Ashley, led preschool classes, served on the Big Events team, and were team leaders for children’s check-in. Jason and Ashley have been married for 17 years and together have three children: Skylar, 16, Virginia 7, and Jase, 5. Jason has been employed by CSX Railroad in Richmond for 11 years.
