Bill came to a saving belief in Christ as a teenager. He and Cathy have been active in many churches as they frequently moved during Bill's 20 year service with the Navy and now during the past 15 years of civilian Navy work. They enjoyed serving in each church as God led, primarily in Children's ministry and Music ministry. Bill and Cathy have been married since 1983 and have three wonderful children: Will, Matt and his wonderful wife Lanae, and Karen. They are also blessed to be called grandparents. Bill currently serves on the worship production team and Cathy is serving in the children's ministry.
Josh Vanmatre
James Vawter
James and his wife MacKenzie met in high school and were married in college. Together they have four children: Blair, Jamie (James Jr), Paul, and Luke. The Vawter family began attending River Rock in early 2021. James has volunteered in multiple capacities for the church, filling in where there was a need. MacKenzie has also been a regular volunteer in the church's children's ministry. The Vawter family is grateful for River Rock and is looking forward to seeing how the church will continue to make an impact in Caroline County.
