Brad Boles

Brad has served as a Deacon, Small Group Leader, Awana Commander, High School Community Group Director and led the College/Young Professional in other churches since 1998. Brad and his wife Tami have been married for 32 years and have been blessed with two adult daughters; Haleigh and Tori, and two grandsons; Cooper and Tristan. After serving eight years in the Army Intelligence Corps, Brad has been employed by the Federal Government for the past 23 years. 

John Boquist

John and Yvonne have been married since 1983 and have two married daughters; Patricia (Caleb) and Elizabeth (Joey).  After 18 years of music ministry in the Hampton Roads area, the Boquists moved to Caroline County in 2004 where John served as a pastor for 14 years. Yvonne is a nurse at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. Having been parents for over 30 years, the Boquists are hoping to hear soon one or both daughters tell them they’re being promoted to grandparents.

Brad Stillabower

Brad was saved by grace in his late 20's shortly after being married to his beautiful wife Sheila over 25 years ago.  They have two wonderful children, Adam and Sarah, who are currently away at college.  His family has been abundantly blessed by the Lord's faithfulness to his Word in Jer 29:11 that He "knows the plans He has for us, to give us hope, and a future."  Brad and Sheila are excited to be a part of the plan He has for the future of River Rock Church.  

They have been involved in various ministries over the years with a focus on children and sports ministry.  Brad is currently assisting us with coordination of our Men's ministry at River Rock Church Caroline. 

Scott Nichols

Scott, along with his wife Vicky and their daughters Ellie and Bekah have been serving with the team at River Rock Church Caroline since its founding in 2017.  He currently serves on the Tech Team.  Coming to a saving knowledge and acceptance of Jesus Christ in his mid-30s has made all the difference and he hopes to best use the gifts God has blessed him with to serve and disciple others.  Outside of church, Scott supports a variety of Federal and Commercial clients as a Program Manager for a small consulting firm.  Scott's passions include home improvement, cooking, working out, and being outdoors.  He currently resides in Ladysmith Village with his wife, Vicky, their daughters, Ellie and Bekah and their dog, Duke.  

Billy Rackley

Billy and Lisa have been serving in Youth Ministry as leaders since at least 2000. Both Billy & Lisa were saved at an early age. God brought them together in Sumter S.C.where they started their lifelong journey. Moving back to Va., They Served in Billy's childhood church and then moving to another church plant to help get its roots embedded in the community. They have been married for 26 years and having 3 children, ( Chelsea, Corban, & Camden.) Billy's heart is to serve wherever Jesus leads him & Lisa has a passion for the People of West Africa having gone on several mission trips there. Billy currently serves Our Country in the D.C. Air Guard as an Active Duty Member. Lisa is a Stay at Home Mom, homeschooling and tending to the Home while Billy is away. They are excited to be a part of the Church plant in Caroline, so much so they moved to the Town of Bowling Green to be within the community for which they're serving.

Adam stover

Adam was born and raised in the Spotsylvania area and works for the DOD Fire Emergency Services in Fairfax County. The Lord led Adam and his family to plant and serve in Ladysmith, because of their passion for serving the Lord and serving others. Adam married his church youth group sweetheart, Becca and have been married for over 14 years. Adam serves anywhere needed and Becca currently leads our Women’s Ministry. Adam and Becca have two girls: Makayla and Haley. 


Josh VanMatre

Joshua VanMatre was raised in a Christian household and accepted God into his life as a teenager. Joshua has faithfully served at Spotswood at Ladysmith / River Rock since November 2018. He currently oversees Church Operations (Set-up, Tear Down, and Signs & Security). In addition to his service at River Rock, Joshua has honorably served the Marine Corps (active duty enlisted / contractor / civil servant) for the past 20 years. Joshua is happily married to his high school sweetheart Brandi. Both Brandi and Joshua are blessed with two wonderful children, Gabriel and Madison. 

Jason Weakley

Jason has been serving at River Rock Church (formerly Spotswood at Ladysmith) in various roles including co-leader of the Middle and High School Guys Community Group, and as a member of the setup and tear down team.  Prior to joining Spotswood at Ladysmith in 2017, Jason and his family were members of Fairmount Christian Church in Mechanicsville, VA where he and his wife, Ashley, led preschool classes, served on the Big Events team, and were team leaders for children’s check-in.  Jason and Ashley have been married for 17 years and together have three children: Skylar, 16, Virginia 7, and Jase, 5.  Jason has been employed by CSX Railroad in Richmond for 11 years.
